Privacy Policy
DadReady respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It's written in plain English on purpose.
The Short Version
- We collect your email and payment info only when you buy something
- We use Stripe for payments — we don't store your full card details
- We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic in aggregate
- We don't sell your data to anyone, ever
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time

- Billing address — collected by Stripe for tax and fraud prevention
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, time spent, device type, browser (via Google Analytics)
- IP address — used for security, fraud prevention, and approximate location
- Cookies — small text files that help the site remember your preferences (like dark mode) and track usage anonymously
2. How We Use Your Information
- To deliver the guides you purchased and send your receipt
- To send occasional product updates or tips (you can unsubscribe anytime)
- To understand how the site is used and improve it
- To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
- To comply with legal obligations (tax reporting, for example)
3. How We Share Your Information
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the business:
- Stripe — processes your payment (see Stripe's privacy policy)
- Our email provider — sends your receipt and email updates
- Google Analytics — provides aggregated traffic analytics (see Google's privacy policy)
- Hosting provider — serves the website to your browser
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
We may disclose information if required by law (for example, in response to a valid subpoena) or to protect our rights.
4. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU's GDPR. These include:
- Access — ask what data we have about you
- Correction — ask us to fix incorrect data
- Deletion — ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Portability — ask for a copy of your data in a portable format
- Opt out — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time (link is in every email)
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.
5. Cookies
We use minimal cookies:
- Preference cookies — remember your theme choice (light/dark mode)
- Analytics cookies — anonymized traffic analysis via Google Analytics
You can disable cookies in your browser. The site will still work, but your preferences won't persist across visits.
6. Data Retention
We keep your purchase and account information for as long as necessary to provide service and comply with tax and legal obligations (typically 7 years for financial records). Marketing email data is deleted when you unsubscribe.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure payment processing via Stripe, and limited access to personal data. No system is 100% secure, but we do our best.
8. Children
DadReady is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we'll delete it.
9. International Users
DadReady is based in the United States. If you access the site from outside the US, your data may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the US, which may have different privacy laws than your country.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our business evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where required, notify you by email.
